Steam Clean / Pressure Wash - Water Reclamation

Storm drain protection is required during the process of steam cleaning and pressure washing. That is why Cobb Property Service is dedicated to protecting the environment and you, as the property manager landlord. Unprotected storm drains can result in large monetary fines.

Our water reclamation procedure begins by covering any storm drains in the work area where wash water will collect. We utilize rubber matting and vinyl sand bags to insure a proper seal over the storm drain which prevents soiled wash water from entering the storm water system.

The equipment we utilize to collect wash water consists of truck mounted dedicated vacuums which pick-up the water from a collection point then pump it into a tank also mounted on the vehicle. If the water is determined to be non-hazardous it can be discharged to a sanitary sewer line located on site. Any water considered to be contaminated will be either taken to our facility where it will be run through a clarifier, then discharged to the sewer, or taken to a local municipal water treatment plant for disposal. Our water clarifier removes oil via it’s first stage coalescing plate, then it is run through (3) chamber pores reducing particulates down to a level for final stage filtering. Upon leaving the last stage the once untreated wash water has been filtered to approx. 5 microns and can be discharged to a sanitary sewer for treatment by the local municipal agencies.
